Privacy Policy

Overview

MindPlay (mindplay.dev) is committed to your privacy. The short version: we don't collect personal data, we don't require an account, and all your game scores are stored locally in your browser — not on our servers.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, IP address (beyond standard server logs), or any personally identifiable information. We do not require registration or login. We have no user database.

Local storage

Your game scores, personal bests, streak data, achievements, and cognitive profile are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server. Clearing your browser data will erase it permanently.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data — page views, session counts, and general geographic regions. This data contains no personally identifiable information and is used solely to understand which features are most useful.

Cookies

We do not set any first-party cookies. Analytics providers (Google, Vercel) may set their own cookies in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

Third-party services

MindPlay uses Vercel for hosting. Vercel may collect standard server access logs (IP address, user agent, referrer) as part of its infrastructure operation. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy for details.

Children

MindPlay does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The games are appropriate for all ages, but no personal data is collected from any user regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we handle data — for example, when we add cross-device sync requiring an account — we will update this page and note the date of the change at the top.
